ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Our Athlete of the Week this week
is Zach Morris of the RPLL North
11-year old all star team.

Zach has had an incredible start
to the all star season, helping the
North 11's to winning their first 3
games and reaching the finals of
the winners bracket.

In the first game, Zach pitched a
solid 3 innings in what turned out
to be a rather easy 12-4 victory
over Clairemont Mesa.

In the second game, he had 2 hits
and a key walk in what was a
thrilling come-from-behind 8-7
victory that saw the North 11's
score 4 runs in the bottom of the
6th to take it.  Zach had the
walk-off single to seal the victory!

In the 3rd game it was a
Penasquitos showdown between
the North 11's and the South
11's.  Zach pitched 5 scoreless
innings of 1-hit ball, only allowing
a 5th inning bunt single.  He also
contributed 2 hits and an RBI in a
thrilling 2-1 victory.  Both teams
played extremely well, with the
North able to prevail.  Tyler
Snyder ended the game on an
outstanding diving catch of a line
drive up the middle.

Zach will receive a free
PQSports.com T-Shirt and a free
sandwich of his choice at the Deli
Stop for being selected athlete of
