| ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (click here for past winners) With local youth baseball and softball coming to an end, we thought it would be appropriate to kick off the soccer season with a well deserving athlete of the week from last season. In that light, the entire 2005-2006 PQ Premier BU15 soccer team gets the nod as this weeks Athlete of the Week. This team won the State Cup championship this past season, certainly an accomplishment that deserves heavy praise. In the final game in Lancaster in April, they beat the Atlas Tigers 4-0 to claim the cup! What makes this more special for the club is the fact that in 2005 they were knocked out in overtime in the quarter-finals, an event that perhaps provided them with extra motivation this past year. The team was coached by the PQ Premier Director of Coaching, Seamus McFadden. Players included John Bonifield, Bryan Boyken, Mike Cuersma, Marshall Fice, Chris Gabriel, Stephen Griswold, Jose Guerrero, Keldon Hatch, Connor McFadden, Tal Midyan, Amir Panah, Stephen Posa, Brian Robinson, Brendon Romero, and Ethan Seeley. The new BU16 team gets started up this coming weekend in the Pateadores Tournament in Mission Viejo, let's continue where you left off! Congrats to all, and good luck this upcoming season!
