| TEAM OF THE WEEK (click here for past winners) This week PQSports is honoring an entire team, the Comanches, a team from Rancho Penasquitos Pop Warner Football in the junior midget division. The Comanches are off to an impressive 6-0 (5-0 conference) start this season. Of the 6 victories, 5 have been shutouts, the latest 28 -0. The defense plays hard and fast, and never gives up. The offense is contributing as well, putting up 125 points to date behind the strength skill of a powerful offensive line. This offensive line has been together for two years and its really coming together for them. They understand their importance to the team, they have the techniques and they have pride in getting the job done. The icing on top is their special teams play. The Comanches have been blessed with a great kicker, true tacklers, and fast returners. As head coach Mark Krukowski says, "All in all it’s a total team effort; we have no stars. Everyone plays their role and we win as a team. " Feel free to let the Comanches or any other of our athletes in the community know what a great job they are doing by registering (for free) and posting in our message boards.
