ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Lucas Johnson of the RPLL Rookie
Giants is this weeks Athlete of the
Week.  Lucas had a tremendous week,
in one game he had a triple and a
home run, which is very tough to do in
rookies.  He also was very tough in his
stint on the mound.

In addition to all that, we had the
inaugural Pitch, Hit, and Run
competition, and Lucas was the winner
in his age group!  He also won the
individual running, and hitting
categories and tied for first in the
pitching.  Lucas will be moving on to
the sectional competition June 4 at
Helix High School.  If he advances from
there he can make it to the area finals
at Petco and eventually to the national
finals at the all-star game in Pittsburgh.

His coach, Bill Kvarnstrom, says that
Lucas is the ultimate team player.  He
is always the one getting his teamates
cheering for each other.  He is always
ready to play, and loves the game of
baseball!  Way to go Lucas!

Lucas will win a free T-Shirt from PQ
Sports and a sandwich of his choice
from the Deli-Stop for being selected
Athlete of the week.  If you have
